Ag/Commercial Loan Officer— Waypoint Bank, Clay Center
Are you passionate about agriculture, business, and helping people reach their financial goals? Waypoint Bank Clay Center is looking for a relationship-driven and results-oriented Ag/Commercial Loan Officer to join our team.
This is your opportunity to play a key role in supporting local farmers, ranchers, and business owners with financing solutions that fuel their success. You’ll manage and grow a diverse lending portfolio while representing Waypoint Bank’s long-standing commitment to community banking.
Key Responsibilities
Build and Manage Lending Relationships
Establish trusted partnerships with Ag producers and commercial clients by understanding their operations and delivering customized loan solutions.
Maintain and Grow Loan Portfolio
Monitor existing loans, identify growth opportunities, and manage risk across a well-balanced Ag and Commercial portfolio.
Community Involvement and Business Development
Represent Waypoint Bank at community events, agricultural forums, and business functions to strengthen relationships and expand our reach in the Cozad area.
Loan Origination and Financial Analysis
Conduct in-depth financial reviews, evaluate creditworthiness, and prepare loan packages in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
Client Support and Consultation
Serve as a financial resource, helping clients navigate banking products and make informed decisions that support their long-term plans.
Qualifications
Experience in Ag or Commercial lending (preferred)
Familiarity with rural business environments and agricultural operations
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to foster client trust and build long-term relationships
