Operations Representative— Waypoint Bank, Cozad

Waypoint Bank Cozad is looking for a relationship-driven and results-oriented Operations Representative to join our team.

This role combines front-line customer service with essential operational support. You’ll handle routine teller duties such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing while maintaining strong customer relationships and referring clients to the right services. You’ll also support the bookkeeping and data processing team by assisting with daily operations, statement preparation, reporting, and internal requests. Candidates should have a high school diploma, solid communication and numerical skills, strong attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset. Clerical or cash-handling experience is a plus, and full on-the-job training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

Teller

The Teller is responsible for performing routine branch and customer services duties; accepts retail and commercial checking and savings deposits; processes loan payments; cashes checks and savings withdrawals; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

Bookkeeping and Data Processing

The Bookkeeper is responsible for performing operational support duties of the Bookkeeping and Data Processing Department. Performs daily operations which support functions of computer operation, sorting, statement preparation, proof and other support roles; processes requests from Bank personnel and customers within given authority and ensures requests are completed in a timely fashion; performs a variety of routine daily tasks; reviews reports, prepares correspondence; participates in special department projects. Other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • some clerical, administrative, cash handling, sales or customer service experience preferred
  • knowledge of customer service principles
  • relevant computer skills
  • on-the-job training is provided
