David Besch, Northern Colorado Branch President, participated in the Rope for Hope fundraiser for the House of Neighborly Service on October 12, 2019, in Loveland, CO.
Participants who raised pledges of $1,000 or more had the opportunity to go “Over the Edge” and repel off a five story parking garage.
The event raised funds for The House of Neighborly Service, which “assists and advocates for people challenged by the effects of poverty or a situational crisis.”
“It’s an incredible organization,” said Besch, who serves on the board of directors. “Our board is very engaged. Everybody really contributes”. He explained that the organization helps community members in need with housing, food, transportation, employment, and much more.
Fifty-two “edgers” participated, exceeding the event’s goal by raising over $80,000.
“I’d do it again in a minute,” said Besch.
