Deposit Operations Representative — Waypoint Bank, Cozad

Waypoint Bank Cozad is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Full-Time Deposit Operations Representative to join our Operations team.

As a Deposit Operations Representative, you will play an important role in supporting the daily processing and maintenance of deposit accounts. Working behind the scenes, you will help ensure our banking operations run smoothly by processing transactions accurately, maintaining customer records, and supporting branch staff with timely operational assistance. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will help uphold Waypoint Bank’s reputation for exceptional service and trusted community banking.

Key Responsibilities

Deposit Account Maintenance

Maintain customer deposit accounts by processing account changes, closures, record updates, stop payments, holds, and other account maintenance requests while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

ACH and Wire Processing

Process and balance ACH transactions, returns, exceptions, and notifications. Assist with domestic wire transfers and other electronic payment services in accordance with bank procedures.

Operational Support

Research customer and branch inquiries, monitor operational reports, resolve discrepancies, process overdraft reports, and complete daily account reconciliations to support efficient banking operations.

Debit Card and Customer Records

Support debit card ordering, maintenance, replacements, and issue resolution while maintaining accurate customer records and protecting confidential information.

Branch Support

Work closely with branch employees to provide operational guidance, answer questions, and deliver timely support while completing additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

One to three years of banking experience is preferred.

Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Previous experience in deposit operations, retail banking, new accounts, or branch operations is highly desirable.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Commitment to confidentiality and data security.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
