Giving Back Shapes Our Bank and Community

As a family-owned, community bank, Waypoint Bank encourages our employees to actively give back to the communities we serve. Some examples of giving back include supporting nonprofit organizations by donating, volunteering, and sponsoring events. Other ways to give back can include taking on board leadership roles to encourage the well-being of our communities. Having our employees active and visible in the community also helps to further foster our relationship with community members. When our communities grow and develop, Waypoint Bank can explore different tactics on how to help our customers – to offer products and services that will make their goals accessible. And we’ve found that our staff loves being involved in our community efforts.

Imperial, NE

From food assistance to childcare, Waypoint Bank employees give generously to help the causes they care about and make an impact on the quality of lives of those we serve. Our Imperial, Nebraska branch volunteers in their community with numerous different opportunities, including sponsoring, volunteering, and participating in events held by the Chase County Hospital Foundation.

Fort Collins, CO

Giving back often involves hosting events for a special cause. The Fort Collins, Colorado branch gives to House of Neighborly Service, a nonprofit that encourages self-sufficiency and provides multiple tools and resources to help people get out of crisis and back into self-reliance. Recently the branch hosted “Burgers, Brats and Brews” raising $1,000 for the organization.

Eustis, NE

We love it when our team members find a way to have a fun time while raising money for a good cause. Many of the members from our Eustis branch helped set up, serve pizza, wash dishes – and so much more – for the Eustis Fair & Corn Show. Tristan Newcomb, Eustis Assistant Vice President, has even served on the Fair’s board for 11 years!

Clay Center, NE

Waypoint Bank makes the effort to allow employees the flexibility to get involved. “Waypoint Bank has allowed me and other staff members to work on this project many hours, with a lot being during the workday because they know the importance of this project to the community,” shared Jessie Anderson, Branch President for Waypoint Bank Clay Center. Waypoint Bank and the entire Clay Center Staff became members of Clay Center Innovation Partners, Inc. because they all wanted to see Clay Center grow. “I, myself, I’m proud to work for a community bank that is always willing to give back to the community and allow me the time to also give back,” she continued.
