Waypoint Bank is pleased to announce that funding for the 2022 (HSP) Homeownership Set-aside Program is now available. The program is designed to assist very low to moderate-income first-time homebuyers to purchase a home.
How Does the Program Work?
The Homeownership Set-aside Program (HSP) provides down payment, closing costs, and repair assistance to first-time homebuyers earning at or below 80% of the Area Median Income for households purchasing or constructing homes in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. The HSP is provided to households as a forgivable grant with a five-year retention period.
Am I Eligible?
This program is a partnership with FHLBank members. Members work with qualified homebuyers to provide the grant funds at closing and request reimbursement of the funds after closing. Homebuyers should contact Waypoint Bank to apply for HSP grant funds. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. New for 2022: eligible homebuyers may receive maximum funding of up to $7,500.
