Commercial lending and consumer advice are part of the package for Dave and his Waypoint Bank Northern Colorado team

You might say Dave Besch was born with the Christmas spirit. And you’d be right on many levels, especially since the Northern Colorado Branch President was born on Christmas Day.

“Being born on Christmas may be why I love it so much,” explained Dave. “Everyone always asks me if I feel I get ripped off with presents, and the answer is ‘No, I get double.’”

Dave earned his bachelor’s degree at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., before getting his MBA from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He’s amassed over 30 years of commercial and consumer lending experience. In 2015, he joined Waypoint Bank and opened a loan production office in Loveland, which was later converted to the full-service Waypoint Bank – Fort Collins branch. This is where Dave now serves as Branch President and Northern Colorado Market Manager.

Bringing holiday joy to banking every day

Dave’s Christmas connection is fitting. When customers do business with Dave and his team, he likes them to leave feeling a touch of seasonal joy – no matter what the time of year. “I want them to feel delighted and valued,” he said, “and consider us their partner and financial consultant.”

How does he describe his approach to serving customers? Be honest and “only give them advice that I would take personally.”

Dave finds personal joy in his family and his hobbies. These include playing piano, golfing, hunting, fishing, traveling, and dinner-and-a-movie nights with his wife Steffani.

Married for 35 years, they love spending time with their three adult sons and two daughters-in-law. He counts Mexico, Italy, and Hawaii among the couple’s favorite travel destinations. But, they also have “a whole bucket list of other places to visit.”

Until then, Dave has a bucket full of Christmas spirit to share with everyone who crosses his path.
