Waypoint Bank is proud to welcome Lyle Calvert to our Cambridge, Nebraska, branch as a Loan Officer. Lyle officially joined the team on June 2, 2025, and brings with him a deep commitment to his community and a growing interest in guiding others toward financial confidence.

Before entering the banking industry, Lyle spent 13 years as a dedicated math teacher and high school golf coach at Cambridge Public School. Though new to banking, his interest in financial education has been developing for several years. He even began incorporating money management lessons into his math curriculum.

Lyle is excited to learn more about the lending process and the daily operations of the bank. He looks forward to analyzing financial statements, evaluating collateral, and helping customers find loan products that best meet their needs.

His move to Waypoint Bank marks a new chapter, not only in his professional life but also in his continued service to the Cambridge community. This community has meant a great deal to him. It’s been his home for over a decade, and he’s grateful for the opportunity to continue serving it in a new capacity.

Outside the bank, Lyle stays active with his favorite hobbies: golf, baseball, basketball, and spending time outdoors at the park or pool with his family. He and his wife have been married for seven years and are the proud parents of a 6-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son, who keep them constantly entertained.
